The Precious Seed
The kingdom of God is likened to a seed. Though a seed is small and seemingly insignificant, hidden within it is the full potential of the tree that it will one day become.
Jesus said that the seed is the word of God. Every promise, every commandment, every revelation of Scripture is a seed waiting to be planted in the soil of a believing heart.
The ground of the heart must be prepared. Just as a farmer breaks up the fallow ground, so we must soften our hearts through repentance, humility, and hunger for God.
Guard the seed once it is planted. Water it daily with prayer and meditation, and it shall spring up into everlasting life, bearing fruit in its season for the glory of God.
